This morning, our library was filled with cozy moments, great books, and smiling faces as families joined us for Snuggle Up and Read! Parents, grandparents, and students enjoyed breakfast snacks while sharing stories together.
Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate the joy of reading with us—what a wonderful way to start the day!

Students in fourth and fifth grades created something with Lego glasses to represent themselves this week. All of our picture books had a theme of family, traditions, being proud, and the importance of our names!

We still have a few spots left for next week's Snuggle and Read, which takes place on Tuesday, September 30 from 8:00 to 8:30 am in the Thomas Jefferson Media Center! Sign up here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc2HG5ORSkARs70yO9sDbt3-WFSVVXlPKJqJP4bBSW22bXDeg/viewform?usp=header

Third-grade engineers in Mrs. Wons's class used their knowledge of bridges, peer collaboration, and their imagination to build a bridge that a car could travel across.

Last week, we read Peter H. Reynolds books in the media center to recognize International Dot Day, which celebrates creativity and positivity!
Students made their mark by adding a dot and turning it into whatever their imagination came up with.

What a day! The 73rd Plainfield Community Homecoming Parade filled downtown with music, school spirit, and community pride this past weekend!
This year’s theme, “Literary Legends – Celebrating Famous Characters from the Last 100 Years,” honored the Plainfield Area Public Library’s centennial. Leading the parade was Grand Marshal Mindy Jackson, the library’s School Services Librarian, who has spent decades inspiring a love of reading in District 202 students. 📚✨
A wonderful tradition for decades, the parade once again showcased the energy, talent, and pride of our schools and community.
