Students in grades K–3 got to hear author Matt de la Peña and illustrator Loren Long talk about their writing and illustration processes and participate in a fun directed drawing activity! What a fun experience!

The combined Plainfield Band Boosters organizations will host their 28th annual fall craft show on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, 2026, at Plainfield High School – Central Campus, 24120 West Fort Beggs Drive, Plainfield.
All proceeds from the craft show will support the band programs at Plainfield High School-Central Campus, Plainfield East, North and South high schools. Last year, the craft show raised more than $40,000 to support the band programs.
The show will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1. The show draws thousands of attendees each year and features more than 200 booths of beautiful crafts and gifts.
Food and bake sale items will also be available for purchase, including the Band Boosters’ famous baked potatoes.
Admission is $5 per person for everyone 12 and over. Admission is free for anyone under 12. Strollers are welcome.

Our 1st and 2nd graders became book detectives in the media center! After scanning into the library and crawling under crime scene tape, they investigated evidence from our most wanted books. Was it water or food damage, ripped pages, a pet attack, or scribbles? They had a TON of fun learning about responsible book care and solving these book crimes!
Families had a fantastic time at our PTO Bingo Event! It was wonderful to see everyone coming together, having fun, & enjoying a night of laughter and excitement. Thank you to our amazing PTO for hosting such a fun event and to all of our families for joining us! 🎉💙

The Plainfield School District Foundation for Excellence is excited to announce that District 202 Family Night with the Chicago Wolves will take place on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026!
A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit the Foundation, supporting scholarships, teacher grants, and special programs for our students and staff.
Each ticket purchased through our offer includes a free Wolves hat.
