Kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students entered the Land of Smiles school assembly, where Captain Super Grin and crew shared tips on how to defeat cavity villains! Thanks @DeltaDentalIL for showing our students the importance of good oral health habits!

Students and families participated in an enjoyable evening of trick-or-treating, pumpkin decorating, and dance activities during our PTO Haunted Halls event. The event was a great success, with everyone enjoying the trick-or-treating experience through our hallways.

Our Scholastic Book Fair starts today! All students will preview the fair Thursday and Friday, and then the fair will be open for students during the school day for purchasing Monday, November 3- Wednesday, November 5. Families can shop during conference times:

Mr. Schwerdle and 5th grade students, along with other music educators and over 130 students from across Disteict 9, spent Saturday morning making music and learning in Yorkville! Our patriots represented our school phenomenally and really enjoyed the day.

We are excited to share that our school community will be celebrating Unity Day on October 22nd this year. Unity Day is an annual event occurring during National Bullying Prevention Month that promotes joining together to create healthier communities through kindness, acceptance of difference, and inclusion. It was started by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center in 2011 and is now celebrated around the world. Please join us by wearing orange to show your support!

Families will be able to stop by the media center to check out one of 10 STEM kits this Thursday, October 16, at our Paws for Learning Math and Literacy Night! The event is from 5:30 - 7:00, and will have great activities for parents and students to learn and practice reading and math skills. Hope to see you there!

This morning, our library was filled with cozy moments, great books, and smiling faces as families joined us for Snuggle Up and Read! Parents, grandparents, and students enjoyed breakfast snacks while sharing stories together.
