Plainfield – Two District 202 high school students won top spots in Lewis University’s sixth annual High School Art Invitational in January.
The two are among 20 District 202 students who competed in the contest. Ten area high schools competed in the show.
Plainfield High School-Central Campus senior Elisabeth “Elle” Ebersole won “Best in Show” for the colored pencil work titled Stag.
Plainfield East High School senior Zoe Hartsfield won Second Place for an ink drawing titled In All Her Glory.
The exhibit comprises 47 pieces of artwork in various mediums including mixed media, sculpture, painting, drawing, photography, etching, and digital illustration.
The District 202 students chosen to exhibit include:

Plainfield South High School
Plainfield North High School
Plainfield East High School
Artwork was displayed in January in the Brent and Jean Wadsworth Family Gallery on the Lewis University main campus. An awards presentation and reception were held on January 19, 2023.
